How AuraFill works

Three steps to set up, then one click per form. Here is what happens on each fill, including what leaves your device and what never does.

  1. Install and pin the extension

Add AuraFill from the Chrome Web Store, then pin it to your toolbar so the fill button is always one click away.

AuraFill runs on Chromium browsers — Chrome, Edge, Brave and Arc. Signing in with Google is used for coin tracking and abuse prevention, not for reading your mail.

  2. Build your knowledge base once

Enter the details you retype constantly: name, contact details, work history, education, and the answers you give to common screening questions.

This is stored locally on your device, not persistently on our servers. You can keep several personas — one for work, one for personal, one for a specific job search — and switch between them per form.

  3. Open a form and click fill

AuraFill reads the visible fields on the page, works out what each one is asking for, and populates them from the persona you have selected.

Each fill costs one Flash Coin. You review everything before submitting — AuraFill fills the form, it never submits it for you.

What leaves your device when you click fill?

Your knowledge base lives locally and is never persistently stored on our servers. When you trigger a fill, the fields needed for that request — plus the structure of the form on screen — are sent over an encrypted connection to our backend and then to Google Gemini, which generates the suggestions. Once the request completes, that copy is discarded.

Sent during a fill

  • The fields needed for that request
  • Labels, input types and visible values of the form
  • Text you select for a reply or explanation
  • A screenshot, only if you enable visual context

Never sent

  • Passwords
  • Payment card numbers and CVV
  • Bank account numbers
  • One-time passcodes
